Table for Five | Izzy Bromley
When your life falls apart, all you need is a friend…
Abbie Finch loves her job.
Unfortunately, her boss doesn’t love her.
When she finds herself unexpectedly unemployed, Abbie realises that she’s let all her friendships fall by the wayside and has no one to turn to.
Lost and lonely, Abbie decides to leave her comfort zone and join the neighbourhood café’s community table. There she meets aloof, elegant Ethel, down-on-his-luck Bob, colourful, chaotic Dawn and recently relocated Viraj. Friends? Not yet. But when they decide to help the homeless people in their community by staging an extravagant fundraising event, will something that began as a good deed help Abbie find a way back to herself—and make lifelong friends at the same time?
Amazon Reviews
What a beautiful story. Makes one stop and think. Beautifully written. Loved itttttt the characters were amazing. Sobbed my heart out the end.
It’s nice to find a book that starts off sad but ends up as a happy book that made me have tears of joy at the end long live the feel good read.
Bromley’s colorful imagery and hints of emerging lightness made experiencing the loss, loneliness, and shame of these friends an engaging read. There is plenty of comedy to entertain throughout.
If you want an uplifting book to read on holiday or to curl up with in the disappointing summer weather, then this is definitely for you and when you’ve read it, check out Izzy’s first book ‘The Coach Party’ for another heartwarming tale!
